TRITON  arrives in China with the first race ever taking place in Qidong is a county-level city in Nantong, prefecture of Jiangsu province, China, situated at the mouth of the Yangtze River where it meats the East China Sea. Known as the “pearl of the river and sea,” it is strategically located across from Shanghai and is a hub for high-tech industries, but also has a rich history with traditional arts and culture. Qidong has a significant fishing industry, a busy port, and is investing in renewable energy projects like offshore wind and solar farms.
